About Suzie

Suzie was born in The Netherlands but moved to Perth with her family aged nine. She was selected for the Special Art Programme at Kalamunda Senior High School, and went on to study Graphic Design and Multimedia at TAFE in Northbridge.

Suzie decided to move to London when she was 20, and it was there that she learnt to sew, at the London College of Fashion. She has since taught sewing at Sew Over It in London, as well as in the haberdashery department of John Lewis department store on Oxford St.

Suzie moved back to Perth at the end of 2019 and works as a freelance illustrator for sewing and craft books – including The Great British Sewing Bee book series – as well as creating her own fabric designs and products under the name Suzie London.
